Scopeslab PTE. LTD. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Scopeslab platform (the "Platform"), an AI-driven project workload estimation service accessible at scopeslab.com and related subdomains. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Scopeslab PTE. LTD..
By accessing, using, or registering for the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy (incorporated by reference), form a legally binding agreement between you and Scopeslab PTE. LTD.. By using the Platform in any capacity β including as a guest visitor or registered user β you confirm:
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time as described in Section 21. Continued use of the Platform following the posting of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Your use of the Platform may also be subject to additional terms, policies, or guidelines (including our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy). In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any supplementary document, these Terms shall prevail unless the supplementary document expressly states otherwise.
The Platform employs a visitor-first model. You may use certain features of the Platform without registration (see Section 4). However, registration is required to proceed beyond Step 8 of the Guided Flow, to make payments, to access detailed reports, and to retain analysis data beyond the Guest Session period.
Account registration and login are unified into a single flow. We do not use password-based authentication. The following authentication methods are available:

We reserve the right to verify your identity and account information at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that cannot be verified or that appear to be engaged in fraudulent activity.
Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, credit restrictions, or any other Platform limitation is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of all associated accounts.
Visitors who have not registered an account may use the Platform to perform the following actions within the Guided Flow:
Guest Sessions are subject to the following restrictions:
By initiating a Guest Session, you consent to the processing of your uploaded documents and input data by our AI systems for the purpose of generating workload estimates. You acknowledge that Guest Session data will not be associated with any persistent account and will be deleted upon session expiration unless you register before expiration.
When a Guest User creates an account, their session data and project are converted to a permanent user project. This conversion must occur before session expiration; otherwise, guest data will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.
Scopeslab is an AI-driven workload estimation platform that uses the COSMIC ISO 19761 methodology to convert software project requirements into quantitative functional size estimates. The Platform employs a 12-step Guided Flow:
The Platform uses artificial intelligence models (including but not limited to Claude by Anthropic and GPT-4 by OpenAI) to analyze your project requirements and generate estimates. AI processing involves submitting your uploaded documents and project descriptions to these third-party AI providers. By using the Platform, you consent to this processing.
The Platform accepts the following document formats for upload: PDF, DOCX, TXT, and MD. We reserve the right to modify supported formats at any time. Individual file size limits and total upload limits may apply and will be communicated within the Platform interface.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, subject to the obligations described in Section 21.

The Free Plan allows up to five (5) analyses per calendar day (reset at UTC midnight). Under the Free Plan, you may download the Executive Summary report only. All other reports and detailed views require payment through the Starter or Pro Plan.
The Starter Plan is a one-time purchase priced at $25 per project. Upon payment:

The Studio and Enterprise Plans are not yet available and are listed for informational purposes only. We will announce their availability and publish updated terms upon launch. Pricing, features, and conditions for these Plans may differ from what is stated herein.
We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes will apply to new subscriptions and renewals following 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified via email and will have the opportunity to cancel before the new pricing takes effect. Starter one-time purchases are locked at the price at the time of purchase.
All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any sales tax, value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or other taxes imposed by your jurisdiction. We may collect and remit taxes as required by law.
All payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), a third-party payment processor and PCI-DSS compliant service. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not store your full credit card or bank account details on our servers. Payment may be subject to 3D Secure verification as required by your card issuer.
Payment is required at Step 10 (Phase A - Technical Stack Selection) of the Guided Flow. Users who have not completed payment or who do not have an active qualifying Plan cannot proceed beyond Step 10.
On the Report page (Step 9), only the Executive Summary is available free of charge. All other reports β including Technical Reports, Estimation Breakdowns, and detailed analysis documents β require payment for both preview and download. This restriction applies regardless of whether you are a guest or a registered user.
By providing a payment method, you authorize Scopeslab PTE. LTD. to charge the applicable fees to your payment method through Stripe. You authorize us to charge applicable taxes and any other fees disclosed at the time of purchase.
If a payment cannot be processed (e.g., due to insufficient funds, expired card, or declined transaction):
All transactions are processed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. If your payment method is denominated in a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply a foreign exchange rate and additional fees, for which we are not responsible.
An invoice is automatically generated for each payment and is available in your billing dashboard. Invoices include all legally required information (date, amount, tax identification, service description).
Pro Plan subscribers receive five (5) Credit Tokens per billing cycle. Each Credit Token entitles the subscriber to one (1) full project analysis, including all reports and revision entitlements.
Credits do not roll over. Unused Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and are reset to five (5) new Credits at the start of the next billing cycle. No carry-over, accumulation, or extension of Credits is permitted.
When all five (5) Credits in a billing cycle have been consumed:
Credits are non-transferable. They cannot be sold, gifted, exchanged, or assigned to another user account. Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for monetary compensation.
Each project activated under the Starter Plan or Pro Plan is entitled to three (3) revisions. A revision is defined as a coordinated process comprising all three of the following conditions:
All three components must occur for an action to qualify as a revision under this policy. Partial completion of these conditions does not consume a revision.

Revisions may not fundamentally alter the project to the extent that it constitutes a new project. We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether a requested revision is within the scope of an existing project or requires a new project activation.
If an estimation run fails due to a system error, no revision is consumed. You may retry failed estimations up to three (3) times per task at no additional cost.
The Platform provides digital estimation services. Due to the nature of AI-driven analysis, services are considered delivered upon completion of the estimation process and generation of reports.
We do not offer refunds for completed estimations. Once the Platform has generated analysis results and reports for your project, the service has been delivered in full and is non-refundable.
Refund requests for the Starter Plan ($25 per project) may be considered only if:
Refund requests that do not meet both criteria will be denied.
Pro Plan subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period has begun and the subscriber has consumed any Credit Token. Partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period are not available.
Approved refunds will be processed through Stripe to the original payment method within 14 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
We will provide a refund in the following circumstances:
Nothing in this Section limits any statutory refund rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to the right of withdrawal under EU consumer law where applicable.
You may cancel your Pro Plan subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect as follows:
The Starter Plan is a one-time purchase with no recurring billing. Cancellation is not applicable; however, refund eligibility is governed by Section 10.
To cancel your subscription:
When downgrading from Pro to Free, paid features become unavailable at the end of the current billing period. Existing analysis data remains accessible in summary form; full estimation details and report downloads require an active paid Plan. Reports (PDF/CSV) previously downloaded remain yours to keep.
If you have an active Pro Plan subscription and wish to delete your account, you must first cancel your subscription before requesting account deletion. Account deletion requests submitted with an active subscription will be rejected until the subscription is cancelled.

We are fully committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"). For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the basis of contractual necessity (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) where applicable. You retain full ownership of all content you upload to the Platform, including but not limited to:
By uploading User Content to the Platform, you grant Scopeslab PTE. LTD. a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, analyze, and store your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform services to you. This license terminates when your User Content is deleted from the Platform.

The COSMIC ISO 19761 methodology is an international standard; Scopeslab PTE. LTD. implements this standard but does not claim ownership of the ISO standard itself.
Estimation reports generated by the Platform ("Deliverables") are derivative works produced through the application of our proprietary methodology to your User Content. Both parties acknowledge:
The calibration library and its contents are proprietary to Scopeslab PTE. LTD.. You may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute calibration data from the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform, our methodology, or our intellectual property, except for the limited access rights expressly granted herein for the purpose of using the Platform services.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or improvement ideas regarding the Platform, you grant Scopeslab PTE. LTD. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, implement, and commercialize such feedback without attribution or compensation.
The workload estimates generated by the Platform are produced through artificial intelligence analysis and are intended solely as planning and estimation aids. Estimates are not:

Scopeslab PTE. LTD. makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated estimates for any particular purpose. Actual project outcomes may differ materially from Platform estimates.
You are solely responsible for:
AI analysis is performed using third-party models. We do not control and are not responsible for the outputs, availability, or performance of third-party AI models. Our use of these models is subject to their respective terms of service and acceptable use policies.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may:

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these provisions. This may include removing offending content, suspending or terminating accounts, forfeiture of any remaining subscription balance, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities.
Our collection, use, storage, and processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy carefully before using the Platform.

LTD., its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages (actual and consequential), losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

You may stop using the Platform at any time. To terminate your account, follow the account deletion process described in Section 12.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without cause, at any time and at our sole discretion, including but not limited to:

We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the Platform.
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at contact@scopeslab.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice. If the dispute is not resolved within this period, either party may proceed with formal dispute resolution.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Scopeslab PTE. LTD. is registered in Singapore.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Singapore, except where such exclusive jurisdiction is not permitted by applicable consumer protection law.
If you are a consumer domiciled in the European Union, you have the right to submit disputes to the online dispute resolution platform established by the European Commission at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We will participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a certified dispute resolution body if required by applicable law.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits, class-wide arbitration, or any representative proceeding.
You agree that any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arose. Claims not filed within this period are permanently barred.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date.
For material changes to these Terms, we will provide:
Material changes include, but are not limited to, modifications to pricing, subscription terms, data processing practices, intellectual property provisions, and limitation of liability clauses.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform and, if applicable, cancel your subscription as described in Section 11.
We maintain a version history of these Terms. You may request a copy of any prior version by contacting us at contact@scopeslab.com.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Scopeslab PTE. LTD. regarding the use of the Platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the parties' original intent.
The failure of Scopeslab PTE. LTD. to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by Scopeslab PTE. LTD..
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including to any successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and Scopeslab PTE. LTD..
Scopeslab PTE. LTD. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, pandemics, government actions, Internet outages, strikes, shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials, or failures of third-party service providers.
You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

These Terms are provided in English. In the event of a conflict between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall prevail.
