What Counts as an Effective Invitation?

Not every sign-up qualifies. Here is exactly what we require before a referral is credited.

📋 Definition: Effective Invitation

An invitation is counted as effective only when both of the following conditions are met in full. Partial completion does not generate a credit.

    Registers via your referral link — The invited user must create their Scopeslab account by clicking your unique referral URL. Accounts registered without the link cannot be retroactively attributed.
  • ✓
    Completes at least one paid project analysis — The invited user must run a full COSMIC workload estimation on any paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Studio). Free-tier usage alone does not qualify.
  • ✗
    Simply registering is not enough — If your friend signs up but never upgrades to a paid analysis, the referral remains pending indefinitely and does not count toward your 5-invitation threshold.

Quick answers to the most common questions about earning and using credits

No limit. The program is ongoing and uncapped. Every 5 effective referrals you accumulate earns you 1 additional free project analysis credit, without any ceiling. Refer 10 effective users, earn 2 credits. Refer 50, earn 10. Credits stack in your account indefinitely.
That sign-up does not count as an effective referral. Both conditions must be satisfied: registration via your referral link and completion of at least one paid project analysis. If your friend registers but stays on the free tier or never runs a full COSMIC estimation, their slot remains pending and does not contribute to your 5-invitation threshold.
Credits are issued automatically within 24 hours of your 5th effective referral being confirmed in a given cycle. You will receive an in-app notification and an email confirmation when the credit is added to your account. No support ticket or manual redemption request is required.
Yes. All earned credits are stored in your account and never expire. You can accumulate them over time and apply them to individual project analyses whenever you need. Credits are consumed one per project analysis and can be used on any paid estimation, regardless of project size or complexity.
